The manufacture of FMT precision product starts from the correct choice of forest, accurate bucking and grade quality sorting of logs.
When sawed, the logs can be sawn either as centre split 2/4 ex log or as centre free CF sawing. We also through cut logs into 22-25 mm thicknesses. Grading as SFthru qualities.
The sawn timber widths are 75-225 mm.
We also manufacture 16-25 x 75-100 mm side boards. They are graded in accordance with Nordic grades or specially graded into MIX grade, for example.
LENGTH-SPECIFIED PRODUCTS
Our production process allows the manufacture of length-specified products. Our delivery specification can include both short and long sawn timber. We can also provide special-measure products, such as 3.65, 4.0 and 5.0 lengths.
PRECISION GRADING
Sawn timber is manufactured following the Nordic quality grading or precision graded to meet our customer’s wishes. Our main grades are fresh knotted sawn timber LST grades and standard heart wood grades US, SF, V and VI. As precision grades, for example, heart side SF+ sorted planks for log house industry. Grading by knot distribution is also possible.
DRYING
Using chamber kilns makes it possible to dry products until they contain the precise moisture content required by the customer. Moisture contents 10-20 %, in accordance with use. Fresh deliveries are also possible.
LOGISTICS
FM Timber delivers products either all the way to the customer’s yard or to the agreed port. The modes of transport are deliveries by trailer, container or train. We also deliver full or partial shipments. The company production plants are located along good transport links.
